About the American Cuemakers Association
WHAT WE ARE:
The American Cuemaker's Association was formed in 1992 to promote
the American made cue as a unique collectable art form. We are
composed of cuemakers, merchants in the billiards industry, and
other supporters.
WHAT WE ARE NOT:
We are not a group who teaches people how to make cues. We do
not provide information on equipment or supplies needed to make
cues, and we do not provide sources for materials.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
All membership in the ACA is contingent upon the approval of the
Membership Committee. If the committee is aware of any adverse
information concerning the applicant such as personal behavior that
would reflect adversely on the ACA , the membership application may
be turned down.
TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP:
Voting Members. Voting Membership is restricted to cuemakers
who make cues within the fifty United States of America. Cuemakers
who make cues outside of the United States of America or use parts
(other than raw materials) imported from outside the United States
are not eligible for voting membership.
Merchandising Members. Merchandising Members are non cuemakers
who market billiard related items. Merchandising Members are eligible
to sell merchandise at ACA sponsored events where applicable.
NOTE: The Board of Directors may impose some restrictions as to
which merchandise is or is not appropriate for ACA events.
Associate Members. Associate Members are individual persons (noncuemakers),
or companies who wish to support the ACA.
DUES:
Voting Members pay $300.00, Merchandising Members pay $100.00
and Associate Members pay $100.00 per year.
HOW CAN I JOIN THE ACA?
NOTE: ALL MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. If you wish to join the ACA as a Merchandising, or an Associate
Member, you can do so by merely filing out an application form
and sending in your dues.
If you wish to join the ACA as a Voting Member, the procedure
is a little more complicated. Please see Requirements for Voting
Membership.
